Student Tours: Educational Tours: L. Bogoria and Kapenguria Musuem : Maumau fightersThis tour gives the students a great experience through the Rift Valley in Nakuru National Park and the therapeutic Lake Bogoria as well as historical cells of the Kenyan freedom fighters in Kapenguria. This tour gives a deeper understanding of the Mau Mau struggle and the suffering the fighters went through.
DAY 1 – NAKURU – BOGORIA After the briefing you board the vans and start on an adventure journey to the Great Rift Valley. You will have a brief stop to be explained on how the Great Rift Valley was formed at the viewpoint. The rift divides Kenya neatly down the length of the country essentially separating east from west. Afterwards, proceed to Lake Nakuru. This is famous for its flamingos and not forgetting other wildlife like Black and White Rhino, Leopards, Rothschild’s Giraffe and many more. You will have a game drive and your packed lunch in one of the picnic sites. Drive leisurely to L. Bogoria. You will drive first to the lake and take a walk along its shores. L. Bogoria is known for its hot springs and geysers on the southern shores of the lake. The sulphur waters are known to have therapeutic values hence are natural spas and steam bath/sauna. The hot water is known to boil eggs. This is also the home of the greater kudu and a host of other savannah wildlife. Dinner and overnight at the L. Bogoria Lodge
DAY 2 – BOGORIA – KAPENGURIA This day after your early breakfast you will bid L. Bogoria good-bye and proceed to Kapenguria Museum via Kapsabet and Kitale with lunch en route. Kapenguria Museum was opened in 1993 in honour of a number of Kenya’s founding fathers who were detained during the struggle for independence. These includes; the first Kenyan President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Paul Ngei, Kungu Karumba, Fred Kubai and Ramogi Achieng Oneko. The museum’s exhibits include newspaper articles on the Mau Mau movement, photographs and artifacts. These provides an understanding of the sufferings of the many people during Kenya's struggle for independence. This museum also has Uhuru Memorial Library as well as Heroes' Cells where the Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and others were jailed. The museum educates students on the cultural and material conservation of the Pokot people. Traditional homesteads of the Cherengani and Pokot people are also on display. You will proceed further to the Turkwel Gauge Power Project with the best view of the Rift Valley. Here still there’s so much to learn on the power production. Dinner and overnight in Kitale
DAY 3 – KITALE – NAIROBI This day you will say Kwaheri to Kitale base of Mt. Elgon and return leisurely to Nairobi with lunch en route to arrive in the late afternoon.

NOTE We will take one teacher free to accompany the students after every 10 students.
